Gresham Yacht Design presents 90m explorer concept Apollo

British studio Gresham Yacht Design has revealed the latest concept from its design room that takes the form of a 90 metre explorer named Apollo.

The seven-deck explorer was developed for a brokerage house as an alternative to the studio's 100 metre Thor Explore concept revealed in 2020. An exterior profile features a forward superstructure and a certified helicopter pad and hangar aft, typical of a true explorer. However, at the heart of the design is a central viewing platform that the studio calls "the jewel" of the Apollo concept.

Large windows that span two storeys protrude outward and provide the full-beam observation lounge with unparalleled ocean views. On the deck below, semi-enclosed balconies with glass balustrades offer further uninterrupted views from the main saloon.

Other highlights of Apollo include an enclosed winter garden with floor-to-ceiling windows and a six-metre pool, a glass-floored expedition briefing pod located on the main deck aft with views over the tender hangar and a firepit on the bridge deck aft where guests can debrief after adventures ashore.

Accommodation is for up to 16 guests served by a crew of 40. A dedicated owner's deck is accessed via a private lobby and is complete with a forward terrace and a Jacuzzi.

A dive centre with a decompression chamber, a walkaround-sun deck, a cinema and a water-level spa complete the yacht's amenities.
